DESCRIPTION:
Imagine the look on everyone’s faces when I tell them that I’m not the intended chosen one — that the gods would never have picked a loser or an outsider like me — I just happened to apply the right cheat code at the right time. And now I have to save the world.
When the biggest game developers on a dying Earth create their latest VRMMORPG, it takes on a life of its own. Impossible to control, and even harder to predict, the game world in Spectres & Skin is officially classed as a parallel universe, and people clamor to escape the horrors of overpopulation and pollution by moving over.
Recent graduate Matthew Blake is down on his luck. A climbing accident has robbed him of the use of his legs, his best friend is better than him in every way, and he just cannot find a job. VR is his only escape from a life he can’t stand. When he is invited to peek into the exclusive new game world, he can’t resist. Is his luck about to change?
No. No it isn’t.
S&S: Exodus is a LitRPG novel, meaning it is extensively inspired by gaming mechanics and includes a lot of ‘behind the scenes’ calculations. It contains scenes of a graphic nature, permadeath, a really judgmental user interface, and a prophecy hat warns of the destruction of both universes — and that’s just week one.
This is not a book about a superhero, or even a true hero at all. It’s the story of the first step a perpetual sidekick takes on his long path towards Champion; a path he perhaps doesn’t feel he deserves. Though he does progress, and take on challenges, the first step is always the hardest on a long journey. If you’re looking for a story about an overpowered killing machine from page one, you’ve got the wrong book!

The 12 Bottle Bar: Make Hundreds of Cocktails with Just Twelve Bottlesby David Solmonson
Available through June 25 at
Deal availability may change without notice! Prices may vary from store to store. Due to international copyright, availability and pricing may vary outside of the US.
DESCRIPTION:
Savvy cocktail tips, recipes and anecdotes that will “give your local molecular mixologist a run for his money”–all with just 12 bottles (Publishers Weekly).
It’s a system, a tool kit, a recipe book. Beginning with one irresistible idea–a complete home bar of just 12 key bottles–here’s how to make more than 200 classic and unique mixed drinks, including sours, slings, toddies, and highballs, plus the perfect Martini, the perfect Manhattan, and the perfect Mint Julep.
It’s a surprising guide–tequila didn’t make the cut, and neither did bourbon, but genever did. And it’s a literate guide–describing with great liveliness everything from the importance of vermouth and bitters (the “salt and pepper” of mixology) to the story of a punch bowl so big it was stirred by a boy in a rowboat.

Burhan sees the cloth as a beacon of hope for mankind. Salah, his ruthless cousin, wants to lock it away forever. The chase that ensues will threaten Burhan’s life, Alex’s life and Carol’s too, his enigmatic new girlfriend.

The author is a survivor of child sexual abuse and adult domestic violence, that caused symptoms of Complex PTSD, depression, and anxiety. The outlook on life was that this was how life was going to be after failed therapies. It was only after discovering techniques from NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) that freedom from the past was attained as the symptoms faded. This was life-changing! Having a deep desire to assist others to also break free from their pain led to the pursuit of training and became certified in NLP.
Understanding what you’ve gone through from abuse and traumatic events, Julian conveys with respect, compassion, empathy, and sympathy for your situation. Included are 11 NLP techniques written in detail that, based on Julian’s studies, were found to be most successful while keeping in forethought that not everyone will respond to the same techniques. This book is written in an easy-to-understand language and being mindful not to give specific details as to not trigger the reader. This is the must-have book to ease you through your painful past and to assist you in becoming truly free. You deserve to be happy and have the freedom from your hurtful past, and to take back control of your life. Julian paves the way for you and gives you the keys.
