Satisfied: Why Getting What We Want Is Not the Answer
When life does not unfold the way you prayed it would, what happens to your faith?
In this deeply personal and unflinching memoir, Hadassah Treu invites readers into her journey through infertility, heartbreak, and the quiet unraveling of expectations she once held about God, marriage, and the future. As medical diagnoses bring finality to long-held hopes, she is forced to confront a question many believers are afraid to ask: What does it mean to trust God when the miracle does not come?
Through raw storytelling and reflective insight, this book traces the path from striving and disappointment to surrender and renewed purpose. Moments of grief, anger, and confusion are met with a growing awareness that faith is not proven by outcomes, but by the willingness to trust even when the answers remain unclear.
Rather than offering easy encouragement or simple solutions, this narrative creates space for honest wrestling and deeper transformation. Readers will find language for their own pain, permission to grieve what has been lost, and a reframed understanding of what it means to live a fruitful life.
For anyone navigating infertility, unmet expectations, or a season where God feels silent, this book offers a steady companion. It speaks to those who have done everything right and are still left asking why, and it gently guides them toward a faith that is not dependent on circumstances, but rooted in something deeper.
